According to KABC, the altercation occurred after someone threw a water balloon at a convertible Trejo, 80, was in. Footage showed Trejo confronting a man along the parade route, leading the two men to swing at each other.
Trejo is seen falling to the ground and throwing a chair during the altercation. The man Trejo initially swung at is seen fighting with another man.
“This parade is like a thing where you throw water balloons back and forth at each other,” a witness explained to KABC. “The reason why Danny was so infuriated was because usually people don’t throw water balloons at fancy cars when they come by.”
TMZ reported that police eventually responded to the fight and broke up the crowd. No arrests were made.
